US Military brass is retiring, resigning, and being fired because it won’t quietly execute idiotic orders. The orders are coming from babbling, bombastic, narcissistic bosses that are clearly compassionless, honorless,, likely soulless, and critically clueless. The ensuing vacuum of command is being systematically repopulated with sycophantic scab lap dog idiots set up to execute idiotic orders. This shoots the oxymoronic military spoof cliche, military intelligence, over the moon. US corporate executives, the Chief Executive, and defense secretaries, are thus throwing away, and wasting, a massive national investment into national security and defense. Literally kicking it to the curb. In the mind’s eye I can see John Larroquette on the mortar range, in Stripes, insisting that the soldiers in training fire the weapon. The “minions” know better than the boss that you gotta know where you’re shooting it. Captain Stillman (Larroquette) insists that the country has spent good money to put them in position to fire the weapon. Now fire it. The moronic orders are followed by morons, and friendly fire ensues. At least the movie scene had the redemption of humor to reconcile gaffe stupidity. If the doggon stakes were not so high this theater of the absurd would take every dark comedy award ever awarded. One really has to think that at some point there would be a meaningful resurrection of the legislative branch of US government. At least start some kind of counter narrative to this lop sided, sinful, endeavor to selfishly and indiscriminately crash a culture in on itself.
